Letter From the editors
January 22, 2015
Welcome back! We're a bit belated with our greeting, but we hope you sent 2014 out with a bang all the same! We were sad to see it go here at Koi Talk, though we have enough exciting changes in store for 2015 that we’re coping fairly well. First off—we are rebranding our publication, and have chosen the new title, Populi Magazine. For those of you who aren’t linguists, "populi" means people in Latin. We felt that the name captured the purpose of this publication quite well, as we are here to provide an opportunity for conversation—discussion among friends and strangers alike. Populi Magazine is a digital venue for your thoughts on pressing questions that face us all. We hope that you will consider contributing to this publication or reading its issues this semester. We think there will be something for everyone, so think and enjoy!
With our rebranding, we are also improving our web presence, so be on the lookout for our new website launching! We are migrating previous issues of Koi Talk to the new web page, so all our previous articles will be preserved. If you are a web master in search of a thrilling new project, look no further and contact us at your convenience. We are looking to expand our creative content team as well, so if you have any interest in graphic design, photography, app design, or marketing, we would be very interested in working with you. Please contact us at email@example.com.
We would also like to announce the new editorial staff this semester! We are welcoming Christopher McKee, Alex Horne, and Jesse Webb. We are thrilled to have three new members on staff and we are looking forward to a great semester!
Finally, we would like to announce the topics for our Spring 2015 edition:
